Armando Cruz Jr. Justice of the Peace Precinct 1
Education: Palo Alto College
Profession: Certified Criminal Court Clerk Currently the youth diversion coordinator for the Justice of the Peace Court and previously worked in the constable’s office as a warrant clerk. 14 years of service working in two key areas: the Justice of the Peace Court and the Constable’s Office. During this time, I have advanced through multiple roles within the Justice of the Peace Court, from Assistant Court Clerk to Court Clerk, Certified Criminal Court Clerk, Lead Court Clerk, and now Youth Diversion Coordinator. These positions have allowed me to work closely with four Justices of the Peace, giving me a deep understanding of judicial procedures, court operations, and administrative management. My experience with the Constable’s Office further broadened my perspective on public safety and civil process functions under the leadership of two elected Constables. In addition to hands-on experience, I have completed over 120 hours of specialized training through the Texas Justice Court Training Center, the statewide authority for certification and education across all 254 counties and have pursued advanced training through the National Center for State Courts.
This combination of practical experience and formal training has prepared me to lead an efficient, accessible, and fair court. My approach is simple, maintain operational excellence, ensure compliance with state laws, and foster community trust through transparency and professionalism. My commitment to excellence and integrity has been the cornerstone of my career, and I take great pride in serving the residents of Bexar County.
Said, "I believe justice should serve two essential purposes: accountability and rehabilitation. Justice should not only correct bad choices, but it should create opportunities for positive change while maintaining public safety and trust."

Anna Campos Justice of the Peace Precinct 4
Education: University of the Incarnate Word-Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Profession: Business Consultant or more than 35 years, I’ve worked in the legal field, gaining experience in civil litigation including personal injury, employment, probate, real estate, criminal, and family law. I’ve served as a Legal Assistant, Legal Administrator, and Legal Director in a fivecounty, multilitigation products liability case representing more than 2,500 clients across Texas, including many underprivileged individuals and victims seeking fair representation. Alongside my legal work, I run a business consulting practice focused on operations and process improvement, helping businesses and community organizations operate more efficiently so they can better serve the people who rely on them. These experiences have strengthened my ability to listen, solve problems, and lead with fairness and integrity. They are also why I feel called to serve the people of Precinct 4 on the bench. Over the course of my career, I have helped manage large, multicounty litigation, supported attorneys in trial and hearing settings, and worked directly with clients who were often unfamiliar with the legal system. In those roles, I learned how to keep cases organized, explain complex processes in plain language, and ensure that people feel heard and respected. I also own a business consulting firm specializing in operations and process improvement, where I help organizations streamline procedures and improve accountability. Those skills translate directly to running a court that is efficient, transparent, and accessible. As Justice of the Peace, I would approach every case with patience, clarity, and respect, making sure people understand the process and feel they were treated fairly no matter their background.
"Justice must protect the public and uphold accountability, but it should also recognize when a constructive path forward serves everyone better. Many cases in JP Court involve nonviolent or firsttime offenses where structure, education, and clear expectations can prevent repeat behavior."
